Terms of Use

Rules for using Clinical Vendor Compare.

These terms set the ground rules for using the platform, including vendor profiles, review submission, compare tools, sponsor support routes, and vendor-side access routes.

1. Acceptance of Terms of Use

Access to and use of Clinical Vendor Compare is subject to these Terms of Use. By using the platform, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or related services.

CVC may update the platform, routes, pages, and operating workflows over time. Platform content, directory coverage, score states, and review layers may change as moderation, evidence, and operational policies evolve.

2. Platform Use and Accounts

You must use the platform lawfully, in good faith, and without impersonation, interference, misuse, or deliberate submission of false or misleading information. If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of your details and for activity that takes place through that account.

CVC may suspend, restrict, or remove access where we detect misuse, fraud, conflict, security risk, or other platform-integrity concerns.

3. Review Submission Terms

Reviews must reflect genuine experience and honest opinion based on real working knowledge. You must not submit conflicted content as though it were independent, and you must not include patient information, confidential study material, or personal data you are not entitled to disclose.

All reviews may be moderated, withheld, approved, rejected, restricted, or removed where legal, trust, safety, confidentiality, or policy issues arise. Reviewer visibility choices may affect public display, but CVC may still retain private identity or verification information internally for moderation, trust, and legal reasons.

4. Commercial Routes and Sponsored Visibility

Vendor-side paid access, sponsorship, profile claim rights, sponsor support services, and managed routes may exist on the platform. These commercial routes do not entitle any party to rewrite genuine review content, override moderation, or convert paid visibility into neutral evidence.

Sponsored placement, where offered, should be clearly labelled and treated separately from platform-reviewed scoring, public-source context, and neutral shortlist logic.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Rights

The platform design, copy, structure, and related materials belong to their respective owners. By submitting reviews, requests, or other content, you grant CVC permission to store, moderate, display, analyse, and use that content within the platform and related reporting, trust, and operational workflows.

6. Enforcement and Liability

Clinical Vendor Compare Ltd may remove content, suspend accounts, restrict features, or take other reasonable steps where legal, trust, security, abuse, or fairness concerns arise. Platform information is provided to support better vendor-selection decisions, but users remain responsible for their own procurement, review, and contracting decisions.

Where required, complaints, takedown requests, moderation actions, and governance decisions may be handled through separate platform policies and operational procedures.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clinical Vendor Compare Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed £1,000 (one thousand pounds sterling) or the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clinical Vendor Compare Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms of Use
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Content you submit that infringes the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or defamation
  • Your use of the platform in a manner not authorised by these terms

9. Not Professional Advice

The platform provides vendor comparison information, scores, reviews, and related content for informational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to legal, regulatory, medical, financial, or procurement advice.

Vendor scores and recommendations are algorithmically generated based on available data and user reviews. They are tools to assist your decision-making, not definitive assessments of vendor quality or suitability. You should conduct your own due diligence before entering into any vendor relationship.

10. AI and Algorithmic Content

Parts of our platform use algorithmic and automated processes to generate vendor scores, comparisons, and recommendations. These outputs are derived from available vendor data and user-submitted reviews and do not represent the views, endorsements, or guarantees of Clinical Vendor Compare Ltd.

Algorithmic scores may not reflect the full picture of a vendor's capabilities, quality, or suitability for your specific needs. We recommend using our platform as one input among many in your vendor selection process.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, accident, failure of third-party infrastructure, pandemic, epidemic, fire, flood, or storm.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause deprives you of any mandatory consumer protections available in the country in which you reside.

13. Changes to These Terms

Clinical Vendor Compare Ltd may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
